Hi, I’m Megan.

Therapist in private practice in Denver, Colorado. I have always been a curious person with a strong desire to understand myself, others, what makes us tick, and how we can get the most out of this ride called life. I love doing this work and I appreciate every day the unique opportunity I have to bear witness to and learn from my clients’ stories. I am consistently inspired by the courage, insight, and resilience I see in my clients and am honored to be a small part of helping them find ways of being their authentic, joyful selves in this world.

My Journey

I have faced my own struggles, like we all do. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, lost, and insecure, and I have experienced firsthand how helpful a tool therapy can be in reconnecting with myself and all the good things life has to offer.

With time and effort, I have learned to like who I am, to lean into my strengths and values, and to show up to my life as my genuine self. It has been a beautiful homecoming, and it has instilled within me the strong belief that we all deserve to know the peace, joy, and confidence that arise from being in harmony with ourselves.

My experiences have informed my passion today for helping people uncover and work through obstacles that impede self-love, happiness, and genuine connection with others. I thrive on helping my clients come back to themselves and tap into their innate power so that they can show up to their life and relationships with intention and integrity.

Education & Experience

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Virginia in 2014, and my Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University in 2016. I have worked in outpatient mental health and private practice settings for the past eight years serving children, teens, and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, grief, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and more.

I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado since 2018. I am an EMDR Certified Therapist, and a member of the Colorado Society for Clinical Social Work and the National Association of Social Workers.

Why Inner Abundance Counseling?

I wanted the name of my practice to reflect my belief that we all are already capable and resourceful people who have everything we need to live joyful, meaningful, and purposeful lives within us. Therapy shouldn’t be about somebody else telling you how to live your life or how to be happy. I believe that you have an abundance of wisdom and self-knowledge within you that it’s my job to help you access. I am an expert at helping you ask yourself the right questions, strip away the self-doubt and external noise, and develop the tools you need to discover your voice and find your own answers.

Welcome to my Office

 Outside the Office

You are likely to find me on a hiking trail with my husband, my daughter, and my dog, Rigby. I also love to ski, do yoga, and travel as much as I can. I am quite a good cook, and you might just be offered the occasional baked good if you visit me at my office. In addition to my private practice, I mentor and supervise students at my alma mater, Columbia University, who are pursuing careers in social work. I am an avid reader and a lifelong learner. I hope we get the chance to know each other soon.
